Milan wrapped a woman in the most sensual, delicious, timeless and beautiful clothes imaginable. After the sharp minimalism of New York and extravagant London, Milan visually welcomed me with wearable dreams and made me realise that, should I’ve had an unlimited budget, the shopping would be inevitable and so would be the tears of joy as I touched and embraced the clothes and buried my face in the wools, silks, cashmere and buttery soft leather inhaling the most intoxicating scent of luxury.
The lady-like full skirts and figure-fitted dresses at Prada, the soft and romantic as marshmallow’y clouds at Blumarine, the utterly gorgeous, sculpted and effortlessly chic Bottega Veneta, the Byzantine-inspired couture disguised as ready-to-wear at Dolce & Gabbana, the lady-like slick designs with a 70s feel at Maurizio Pecoraro and the emotional fashion moment at Prada.
And now it’s time to dream…
Dream No. 1. Blumarine
Dream No. 2. Bottega Veneta
Dream No. 3. Dolce & Gabbana
Dream No. 4. Maurizio Pecoraro
Dream No. 5.

Oh, Milan... It's always a favourite, but this year it practically killed me, the collections were so beautiful. I almost never pick a favourite collection from the fashion weeks, but this year it was just so easy; Dolce & Gabbana stole my heart. After the disappointment of London, all of that opulence and lace was just what my fashion-loving heart needed :)

ReplyDeleteThe MFW was simply wonderful; it was therapeutic for my fashion mood that was hitting an all-time low. Now I'm eager for what we will see in Paris!
ReplyDeleteAmazing! The looks from dolce and gabbanna and dream 5 are stunningly. The white dg lace dress was my favorite.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! Love the red dresses! Just something so beautiful about the dark stones on them!
ReplyDeleteVery inspiring.
ReplyDeleteI love the deep deep sultry red lips on the models in the first pic. Gorgeous & classy.

Beautifully written post and excellent roundup of MFW. I was most impressed by Dolce and Gabbana for the sensual femininity and Blumarine for the easy romance.
ReplyDeletePecoraro is a surprise! I expected to love Dolce and the first outfit of Blumarine was breathtaking, but Pecoraro looked interesting, chic, and luxurious in such a subtle way! Loved it!

I haven't seen much of Milan Fashion Week, but only browsing your post I think I've chosen a few favourites. I should say that MFW deserves a blog post. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm behind on the shows so thanks for sharing some of your favorites. That Blumarine coat looks like it would make the loveliest and chicest cocoon :)

Dear Natalia, I love you fashion dreams and you put together a selection of the best looks! That Bottega mustard coat...I would have only added a Marni printed strapless dress: in Castiglioni's collection there was too much fur for my taste, but the minimal yet feminine silhouettes were perfect. Have a nice day, Caterina
ReplyDeleteNatalia, these are ALL lovely! But when I saw that D&G collection I nearly FLIPPED OUT! It was beyond superb. Ohhhhhhhhh if I had money! I would want every piece. Even the crowns! HAHAHA I think everyone agrees. I can't wait to see how the magazines are going to style those beautiful red creations. I bet Karl L is trembling in his boots. His last collection was pretty, but not like D&G! Great recap!
