I admit, it took me a while to get my first pair of Converse, but once me and my new trainers had a walk I was converted. Needless to say, I was excited to hear that Converse teamed up with Missoni for the fifth time to give an iconic zigzag look to Chuck Taylors, one of the Converse legends. The green and cream (officially known as tan) shoes in woven fabric that sparkles thank to silver and gold metallic threads are designed specifically for women. The boys can treat themselves to a navy pair. I am loving the tan version that would look perfect with jeans or wide off-white linen trousers and also fit a pastel trend brief seamlessly. What do you think?

Фантастика! Я уже без ума от ментоловых)
ReplyDeleteLove them all :)
ReplyDeleteI'm tempted to get a pair.
Hello, my dear LittleRus. It's good to be back. I can't stay too long away from blogging. :) I would definitely wear them with wide legged linen trousers, a satchel and a fitted vest. xo
ReplyDeleteI had a crush on Converse two years ago when I bought two pairs, a mild light green and and intense purple (of course) and they are still there, in my wardrobe. I rarely find the occasion to wear them now, as I tend to purchase and wear flats more than sport shoes. But this silver and gold babies are so perfect, I don't think I can restrain myself :D, Little Rus.
ReplyDeletePS: I made the carrot cake, it was so light and perfect. Of course, Jamie helped me to find this: http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/pastry-cake/a-rather-pleasing-carrot-cake-with-lime-
PS: and I've just found the perfect example for the outfit I was telling you about, via Fash n Chips, a shot from Vogue Spain, March 2011. :)
ReplyDeleteI saw these the other day as well, but I am actually slightly terrified of what the price may be (haven't even checked!). Really really great collaboration though.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a very interesting collaboration - I didn't see that one coming honestly :) I like the look of all pairs here and also like the idea of combining a Missoni pattern with a high cut Converse - the low cut would work better here maybe... However, talking of a long experience with Chucks, uni and multi-colored, with or without patterns - I'm always coming back to the basic: high cut, beige. My no1. Followed by all shades of blue. I've made an experiment with a thin red striped pair (American flag) http://fashionindiemedia.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/American-Flag-Converse.jpg and that's it.... :) Welcome to the club, darling girl! xxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteFantastic! I'd love to have this green pair = )
