The colour of eternal life, beauty and harmony, green became one of the jewels in a rainbow crown of many spring 2011 collections. The choice of shades from the deeply rich emerald, malachite and jade to light and delicate jasper and chrysoprase created a multitude of colour combinations. So perfect for summer, the green also made its way into autumn fashions turning green summer silks and buttery soft leather into luxurious transitional pieces that you could wear in the fall, too.
Nature can be an endless source of inspiration for finding the right colours that look beautiful with green tones. Just look at the flowers and compliment your green with soft rose, white or deep blue, or be bold by combining it with yellow, orange, pink or red to create striking colour-blocks. I also feel that adding a touch of gold jewellery and tan accessories brings the best out of any shade of green, so I thought it’s worth to mention.

You bring out the best of every colour you speak about in terms of fashion. And green IS one of my absolute favourites. I completely agree: paired with golden jewelry or tan accessories is just perfect. That second image is gorgeous and the Hermes outfit with the corset over the sweater dress, that's an idea! Have a beautiful day, my dear Little Rus! xoxo
ReplyDeleteOne of my favourite colours - DEFINITELY! Love the Akris look you posted so much! Green really goes for any occasion - casual, dressy, anything! x
ReplyDeleteI love green and some of these shots are amazing - you are right - nature does it best and that coco rocha shot - seriously stunning - thanks for the inspiration x

ReplyDeleteThat green dress where the model is sitting on the chair with the burgundy (?) accessories has completely stolen my heart.
Beautiful pics!Love green so I love every single one!
ReplyDeleteI have green eyes, so I like wearing green because it really makes my eyes pop when I do, and people stop and give me compliments. :D
ReplyDeleteAs I get older - hmm, why am I thinking about that - I find myself liking green more and more. I am excited about the fall upcoming petrol blueish green. Have already started raiding vintage stores for that. Now is the time to hit - before the masses read about the hue in the glossies (one of 'Susu tricks'... but you know these things already;)
ReplyDeleteAre you safe where you are in Londontown? Have had you on 'me mind', dear.
Green is such a magical color. I definetly have to own more green cloths. Also it's next to violett the most charming color on me...
ReplyDeleteI also LOVE green jewellery. It's just beautiful.
Thanks for this wonderful inspiration!!
Love,
Kristina
This is a lovely post! I want to wear nothing but green now! x
ReplyDeleteI always told myself that green would not work with pale skin. Quite the contrary I found that this colour suits me quite well, and brings out the auburn in my hair.. but it is still quite hard to find much striking green colour in the shops I think. Lots of lovely inspiration here.
